An instance or two of marginally severe hail and perhaps a damaging
gust will be possible this evening from the Arklatex to the
Mid-South.
…Discussion…
Showers and thunderstorms are ongoing near a gradually advancing
cold front — with most of the deeper convection extending from the
Mid South region into Texas. Storms have remained generally below
severe levels over the past couple of hours, and expect this trend
to continue, as gradual stabilization of the airmass occurs. With
that said, the CAPE/shear parameter space remains marginally
supportive of some updraft organization, and so a severe storm or
two cannot be ruled out this evening.
