Severe thunderstorms are not expected over the contiguous U.S.
through tonight.

…Gulf Coast/Southeast States…
A persistent 850-700 mb warm theta-e advection regime over the
central Gulf Coast will shift east off the South Atlantic Coast by
evening. Meager elevated buoyancy (as sampled by the 12Z New Orleans
sounding) will aid in isolated thunderstorms, generally south to
southwest of a broader swath of stratiform rain. Consistent with
latest guidance, the general thunderstorm area has been expanded
