YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Freezing fog with localized dense freezing fog is ongoing across western portions of Yuma, Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties in Colorado. Some slick spots on elevated surfaces are possible.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...  Accumulating snowfall will occur with the next system Monday and Tuesday. Exact amounts and placement of amounts is still being worked out but an increasing signal for at least some travel impacts is being seen.  A dangerously cold Arctic air mass will be in the area Monday night through Thursday morning. Overnight temperatures will potentially be between 10 and 20 below and wind chills 25 to 35 below. This will lead to an increased potential of rapid onset of hypothermia not only in humans but livestock and pets as well.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not anticipated.
