YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Isolated thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon through the evening mainly north of Interstate 70. Localized wind gusts up to 60 mph and lightning initiated wildfires continue to be the main hazards.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  A conditional threat for severe weather exists east of Highway 83 Friday evening with lightning induced wildfires and 60 mph winds the main hazards. A large hail stone up to quarter size can't be ruled out as well.  Friday and Saturday will both see heat indices approach 105 degrees, with Saturday being more widespread. Be sure to drink plenty of water and check on pets and the elderly during the warmest part of the day.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
