YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  A Red Flag Warning is in effect for Kit Carson, Cheyenne and Yuma counties in Colorado from 10 am MT to 9 pm MT. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged.  Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible along and north of Highway 34 from Yuma County Colorado through Red Willow County Nebraska. The main hazards are damaging downburst winds and large hail.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...  Elevated to critical fire weather conditions are possible along and south of a Flager, Colorado to Tribune, Kansas line Sunday afternoon. A Fire Weather Watch is now in effect for that area on Sunday.  On Monday, elevated to critical fire weather conditions are possible across portions of the area, mainly south of a line from Yuma, Colorado to Gove, Kansas. A Fire Weather Watch is now in effect for that area on Monday.  On Tuesday, elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are possible across portions of the area, mainly south of a line from Flagler, Colorado to Leoti, Kansas.  Scattered thunderstorms are possible Wednesday through Saturday afternoon and early evening hours.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation may be required this evening. Spotters are encouraged to report any wildfires to local dispatch.
