YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A few thunderstorms may develop late this afternoon and early this evening. An isolated severe storm is possible, mainly north of Interstate 70 between 4 PM and 9 PM MDT. Quarter size hail and wind gusts up to 65 mph are the primary hazards.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  A developing low pressure system in Colorado will intensify over Kansas and Nebraska on Friday, bringing a variety of hazardous weather to the Tri-Stare area. Critical fire weather conditions are possible across a limited portion of the area Friday afternoon, mainly south and west of Goodland. Severe thunderstorms are possible over much of the area Friday afternoon and evening, mainly east of the Colorado border. A High Wind Watch is in effect Friday evening through Saturday afternoon for the entire Tri-State area.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotters are encouraged to report severe weather this afternoon and evening, should storms develop.
