This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT... A few thunderstorms are expected after 3 PM MDT, mainly across far eastern Colorado and Greeley and Wichita counties in Kansas. The primary hazards will be dry lightning which may spark fires, erratic thunderstorm outflow wind gusts up to 60 mph and maybe hail up to an inch or so in diameter. Some blowing dust is also possible from the outflow winds. For this evening, a few showers and thunderstorms remain possible east of the Colorado Kansas border. There will be a continued threat of dry lightning, erratic wind gusts up to 60 mph, and hail up to an inch or so in diameter. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY... Fire danger will remain elevated through Saturday, mainly south of a Flagler to Russell Springs line as dry conditions persist. A strong low pressure system will bring strong northerly winds to the area late Friday afternoon and on Saturday which may push fire danger to critical levels. Thunderstorms will be possible early Thursday evening through Friday. There is a threat for severe thunderstorms as well especially on Thursday afternoon and evening. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed.
