Strong southerly winds gusting over 30 mph and relative humidity values falling to around 15 percent will create critical fire weather conditions across the entire area today. Critical fire weather conditions means fires will start and spread quickly and burn intensely. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY... A few thunderstorms are possible, mainly east of the Kansas and Colorado border on Thursday. Should storms develop there is a chance for a severe thunderstorm or two. Main threats will be strong wind gusts and large hail. The chance for thunderstorms will continue Thursday through Friday evening. Severe thunderstorms are possible through this period. Near critical fire weather conditions are possible Friday south of a line from Kit Carson to Tribune and Leoti.
