YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  There is a Marginal Risk of severe thunderstorms late this afternoon through this evening east of U.S. Highway 83 where isolated to scattered storms could produce large hail and damaging winds.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  A High Wind Watch is in effect for the entire Tri-State area on Friday for south winds of 30 to 45 mph potentially gusting over 60 mph.  A combination of Fire Weather Watches and Red Flag Warnings have been issued across a large portion of the Central High Plains region on Friday for Near-Critical to Extreme fire weather conditions  There is also a Slight to Enhanced Risk of severe thunderstorms late Friday afternoon through Friday night mainly along and east of the Colorado border. Damaging winds are the primary hazard with a possibility of large hail and isolated tornados.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight.
