A High Wind Watch is in effect for the entire Tri-State area on Friday for south winds of 30 to 45 mph potentially gusting over 60 mph. A combination of Fire Weather Watches and Red Flag Warnings have been issued across a large portion of the Central High Plains region on Friday for Near-Critical to Extreme fire weather conditions There is also a Slight to Enhanced Risk of severe thunderstorms late Friday afternoon through Friday night mainly along and east of the Colorado border.
