YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A Red Flag Warning for Critical Fire Weather conditions conditions is in effect this afternoon across far eastern Colorado and far northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska where relative humidity values below 15 percent will combine with wind gusts over 25 mph.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  Wednesday afternoon will bring the potential for elevated fire weather conditions.  On Friday, there will be a combination of potentially impactful weather conditions. Temperatures will approach record values as highs reach into the upper 80s to lower 90s. South winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts exceeding 45 mph are possible and are expected to produce areas of reduced visibility due to blowing dust. Dry conditions and strong south winds will produce a large area of critical fire weather conditions mainly west of U.S. Highway 83. East of U.S. Highway 83, there is also the chance of strong to severe thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight.
