YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Strong north northwest winds will develop in the wake of a cold frontal passage early this morning. Sustained winds at 30 to 40 mph and gusts to 55 mph may create hazardous travel conditions, especially for high profile vehicles. Blowing dust may locally reduce visibility to 1 mile, at times. The strongest winds will occur prior to 10 AM MDT, 11 AM CDT.  A Red Flag Warning is in effect for the entire Tri-State Area this afternoon, when dry conditions and breezy to strong northwest winds may lead to rapid wildfire growth.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...  No hazardous weather is expected at this time.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotters are encouraged to report significant weather conditions.
