YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A Cold Weather Advisory starts early this morning as wind chills drop to around negative 15 degrees; wind chills may not get above negative 10 degrees through the day. There is an increased risk of hypothermia and frostbite in these conditions.  A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Graham and Gove counties through Saturday night. Snowfall amounts around 7 inches are forecast. Isolated pockets of higher amounts are also possible. Travel will become hazardous and difficult.  A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the remainder of northwestern Kansas for Friday afternoon until Saturday night. Snowfall accumulations of 3-6 inches is expected. Travel will become hazardous.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...  A Cold Weather Advisory continues into Sunday midday. Winds chills will drop as low as -25. There is an increased risk of hypothermia and frostbite in these conditions. There is also the potential for wind chills around negative 15 continuing through Monday morning.  A Winter Weather Advisory and Winter Storm Warning continues through Saturday night for northwest Kansas. Travel will become hazardous and difficult.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Active weather across portions of the Tri-State Area is anticipated. Spotters are encouraged to report significant weather conditions.
