YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A few hours of critical fire weather conditions will be possible from late morning through mid afternoon in northeast Colorado and adjacent counties of northwest Kansas.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  Critical fire weather conditions will be possible Wednesday afternoon in northeast Colorado and west of Highway 25 in northwest Kansas.  Wednesday night, strong winds will accompany a cold frontal passage in the evening. Northwest winds of 40 to 60 mph will be possible along and immediately behind the front, as well as some blowing dust. Gusty winds will persist through the night.  On Thursday, strong to potentially damaging wind gusts as well as blowing dust will be possible. Northwest winds of 60 to 80 mph are currently expected in portions of the area. Critical to extremely critical fire weather conditions will be possible, especially in western areas where humidity will be lowest.  Critical fire weather conditions will be possible once again on Friday in portions of the area.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Active weather across portions of the Tri-State Area is anticipated. Spotters are encouraged to report significant weather conditions.
