YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Southerly winds will strengthen over the region today, especially in eastern Colorado and adjacent Kansas and Nebraska border counties where sustained winds at 25 to 35 mph may gust up to 60 mph this afternoon.  A severe storm is possible in Eastern Colorado this afternoon with wind gusts above 60 mph as the main hazard.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...  Showers and thunderstorms will develop over portions of the area Thursday afternoon, mainly in northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska. A brief severe storm capable of producing quarter size hail and/or 60 mph wind gusts is possible.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Active weather across portions of the Tri-State Area is anticipated. Spotters are encouraged to report significant weather conditions.
