YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Patchy fog may develop over portions of the area early this morning, mainly along and east of a Culbertson to Hill City line. Any fog that develops will dissipate within a few hours after sunrise.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...  On Saturday, southerly winds will increase to 30 to 40 mph with gusts exceeding 50 mph in some locations. These strong winds, combined with warm and dry conditions, will create an environment favorable for rapid and uncontrolled fire growth. In addition to the heightened fire danger, areas of blowing dust are likely in the afternoon and early evening.  Thunderstorms may develop along and ahead of an approaching cold front in northeast Colorado late Saturday afternoon and evening. A few severe storms capable of producing wind gusts in excess of 65 mph are possible.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Active weather is anticipated across portions of the Tri-State area on Saturday. Spotters are encouraged to report any significant weather conditions.
