This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT... Thunderstorms late this afternoon and early evening in northeast Colorado and bordering counties in Kansas and Nebraska may be capable of producing winds up to 60 MPH. Above normal temperatures will return to the region today, with air temperatures and heat indices approaching 100 degrees this afternoon. Warmest areas are expected to be along and east of Highway 83. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY... A Heat Advisory has been issued for areas along and east of a line from Hoxie, Kansas to Trenton, Nebraska for Sunday and Monday. Heat indices across the area will warm to at least 95 degrees and areas in the Advisory can see heat indices approaching 106 degrees.
