YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Dense freezing fog will lift around 10 AM MST as freezing drizzle becomes more dominant, causing additional slick surfaces through Saturday afternoon.  A wintry mix will develop late this afternoon and then transition to all snow overnight. Accumulations of ice and snow are forecast with the highest amounts along and east of Highway 25. Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for the entire area.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...  Accumulating snowfall will continue through the morning Sunday before ending west to east across the area. Winds will increase starting Sunday morning leading to blowing snow resulting in significant reductions in visibility.  Wind chills of 10 below to 15 below zero are forecast across the area Sunday morning and Monday morning.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is highly encouraged, but do NOT travel.
