YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A Red Flag Warning is in effect for the entire Tri-State area today. All outdoor burning should be avoided. Blowing dust is likely from around noon through sunset. Visibilities will generally fall to several miles with isolated locations falling toward one quarter mile, especially near open and recently harvested fields. Unhealthy air quality is likely.  This evening and overnight, locations along and east of Highway 83 have a low chance for severe thunderstorms that could produce quarter sized hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  Widespread freezing temperatures are possible overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning prompting the issuance of a Freeze Watch for most of the Tri-State area.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed. We would appreciate any reports of severe weather and blowing dust via telephone and social media.
