YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  The first freeze of the season is expected along and east of Highway 25 in northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska this morning. Lows will be in the middle 20s to lower 30s.  Very high to extreme grassland fire danger is forecast across most of the area. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Hitchcock through Logan counties and on east.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...  Near critical to locally critical fire weather is forecast across portions of Yuma, Kit Carson counties Friday afternoon. Elsewhere very high grassland fire danger is forecast due to strong winds and very dry conditions. Blowing dust resulting in 2 miles or less in visibility is also possible Thursday afternoon primarily across northwest Kansas.   .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
