YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Critical fire weather conditions are forecast over portions of northwest Kansas, southwest Nebraska into northeast Colorado, where a Red Flag warning is now in effect. Dry lightning, if present, could potentially start wildfires this evening in Colorado.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...  Near critical to locally critical fire weather conditions are expected on Thursday, when 25 to 35 mph south winds may gust up to 45 mph. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for areas along/west of Highway 25.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not anticipated. Spotters are however encouraged to report any fires to local dispatch.
