YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  A few thunderstorms capable of dry lightning are forecast to develop this afternoon primarily along and north of Interstate 70. The dry lightning may lead to fire starts.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  Near critical to critical fire weather conditions are forecast across the area Wednesday with the most likely area for multiple hours of critical fire weather in the Fire Weather Watch area. Dry lightning may also be possible during the late afternoon leading to additional fire starts.  Near critical to locally critical fire weather remains possible Thursday with southerly gusts of 35-45 mph.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not anticipated today.
