YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Strong to severe thunderstorms are anticipated through 1 AM MDT (2 AM CDT) for much of the area. The primary hazards include hail up to two inches in diameter, wind gusts to 70 mph, and very heavy rainfall that could produce flash flooding. This is also a threat for a tornado or two.  Fog is likely to develop as well and dense fog is possible.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...  Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible across the Tri-State area Wednesday afternoon and into the evening. Potential hazards include 70 MPH wind gusts and 1 inch hail.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will be needed. We would appreciate reports of severe weather via telephone and social media.
