YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Scattered strong to potentially severe thunderstorms are anticipated to approach or enter parts of far eastern Colorado after 6 PM MDT, continuing southeast and reaching a line from Norton to Colby and Cheyenne Wells by 12 AM MDT (1 AM CDT). After 12 AM MDT (1 AM CDT), another area of scattered thunderstorms is anticipated for those generally east of a line from Benkelman to Burlington and Cheyenne Wells.  At this time, the primary hazards include wind gusts to 60 mph followed by a threat of hail up to the size of quarters.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...  Temperatures and heat indices in the 100 to 105 degree range are anticipated across portions of the area early next week.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not anticipated.
