YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Scattered thunderstorms may develop over portions of northwest Kansas this afternoon, mainly in Norton, Sheridan, Graham and Gove counties between 3 PM and 8 PM CDT. Brief, localized wind gusts up to 70 mph are possible in association with ANY thunderstorms.  Air temperatures and heat indices around 105 degrees are expected this afternoon in Graham, Sheridan and Gove counties, where a Heat Advisory remains in effect.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...  Above average to well-above average temperatures will persist through early next week.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotters are encouraged to report any severe or significant weather to the National Weather Service in Goodland via social media or telephone.
