YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Triple digit temperatures will encompass the entire area today. Heat indices of 105 to 110 degrees are forecast across Red Willow, Decatur, Sheridan, Gove, Norton and Graham counties where humidity will be higher. Refer to the Heat Advisory for these counties for details and safety information.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...  Wednesday, heat index values around 105 are expected for Gove, Graham, and Sheridan counties. A Heat Advisory has been issued for the afternoon for these counties.  Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms may develop as early as late morning Wednesday, lasting as late as the early evening. These storms may form east of a McCook to Hoxie and Leoti line. Wind gusts up to 70 MPH will be the main threat.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight.
