YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT... Hazardous weather is not expected at this time. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY... Accumulating wet snow is possible over portions of eastern Colorado late Wednesday night into Thursday, as a developing low pressure system in the Oklahoma Panhandle tracks northeastward across central Kansas and southeast Nebraska. At this time, the greatest potential for accumulating snow appears to be at higher elevations in far western Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties, where heavy wet snow and 25 to 35 mph north winds may create hazardous travel conditions. This includes portions of the Interstate 70 corridor, mainly west of Stratton. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed.
