This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT... Through the remainder of the day, northerly winds gusting 40 to 50 mph are expected. There is a potential for a snow squall to move into Yuma county in the 10 AM MST to 12 PM MST timeframe, continuing east and potentially impacting areas generally along and north of Interstate 70 through about 3 PM MST (4 PM CST). Potential impacts include visibilities as low as one quarter mile, flash freeze on roadways which will create very hazardous travel conditions. This includes Interstate 70. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY... Near critical to critical fire weather conditions are likely for parts of the Tri-State area Friday and Saturday and a majority of the area on Sunday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed. We would appreciate reports of reduced visibilities in snow and blowing snow as well as any measured snowfall amounts via telephone and social media.
