Near critical to locally critical fire weather conditions are possible across portions of the area on Wednesday, mainly south of Interstate 70 where breezy west southwest winds may develop during the afternoon. A cold front will surge southward through the Tri-State area after sunset Wednesday evening. Breezy north winds will accompany and follow the frontal passage late Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning.
