YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Strong southerly winds continue to be common across the area today. Blowing dust, producing reduced visibilities and poor ir quality, will be possible generally east of a line from Kit Carson and Idalia, Colorado to Haigler, Nebraska through the afternoon.  A High Wind Warning is in effect through 4pm MT or 5pm CT for Sherman, Thomas, Sheridan, Graham, Gove, Logan, Wallace, Greeley and Wichita counties as winds in excess of 60 mph are possible.  Isolated thunderstorms will be possible across the entire area from early afternoon through early evening. The primary hazard will be wind gusts to 55 mph.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  Colder temperatures and a chance for light snow returns this weekend.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed. We would appreciate any reports of blowing dust or strong winds via telephone and social media.
