YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  South to southwest winds gusting 40 to 55 mph will be common across the area today. Blowing dust, producing reduced visibilities and poor air quality, will be possible generally east of a line from Kit Carson and Idalia, Colorado to Haigler, Nebraska from late this morning through the afternoon.   Isolated thunderstorms will be possible across the entire area from early afternoon through early evening. The primary hazard will be wind gusts to 55 mph.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  Colder temperatures and a chance for light snow returns this weekend.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
