YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Blizzard conditions will continue in most of the area through early this evening. As the snow ends tonight, strong northwest winds will continue to gust over 50 mph, resulting in a ground blizzard and considerable blowing and drifting of snow. Conditions will gradually improve overnight.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  Patchy blowing snow may continue into Tuesday morning with gusty northwest winds.  An extended period of much below normal temperatures will begin on Thursday and continue into early next week. The weekend looks particularly cold as high temperatures may struggle to get above zero both days. Life threatening wind chills of at least 15 below and possibly to 25 below or colder will occur each morning Thursday through Monday. Occasional rounds of snow will also occur, with the best chances for light to possibly moderate snow Thursday and again on Sunday.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be required.
