YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  No hazardous weather is expected at this time.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...  A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for Monday morning through Tuesday morning for Wichita, Gove, and Graham counties. Locally heavy snowfall and blowing snow will create hazardous travel conditions. Trace amounts to four inches of snow are expected across the entire area with localized amounts of 6 to 8 inches possible in the Watched area. Northerly winds gusting up to 45 MPH will cause blowing snow, reducing visibilities, and make travel more hazardous.  Freezing fog is also possible Sunday night, ahead of the precipitation which could make surfaces slick.  Wind chills Tuesday morning are forecast to be between -10F and 0F across the entire Tri-State area.  Behind this next storm system an arctic air mass will begin impacting the area Wednesday night, with light snow accumulations possible. This air mass will continue into the weekend and bring single digit low temperatures Thursday and Friday nights.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
