This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TONIGHT... Locally dense freezing fog can be expected across portions of the area overnight, mainly along and east of Highway 83. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY... Starting Sunday and lasting into Tuesday morning, another winter system will be impacting the Tri-State area. A few inches of snow and northerly winds gusting up to 45 mph will make travel more difficult due to slick surfaces and visibility reductions. Freezing fog Sunday night is also possible which would add to the travel impacts. Wind chills Tuesday morning will be below zero. Behind this next storm system an arctic air mass will begin impacting the area Wednesday night, with light snow accumulations possible. This air mass will continue into the weekend and bring single digit low temperatures Thursday and Friday nights. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed.
