This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT... Light to occasionally moderate snow will affect portions of northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska through sunset this evening, mainly east of Highway 25. In areas where snow is moderate and persistent, a dusting to 1 inch of additional accumulation is possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY... Starting Sunday and lasting into Tuesday morning, another winter system will be impacting the Tri-State area. A few inches of snow and northerly winds gusting up to 45 mph will make travel more difficult due to slick surfaces and visibility reductions. Freezing fog Sunday night is also possible which would add to the travel impacts. Wind chills Tuesday morning will be below zero. Behind this next storm system an arctic air mass will begin impacting the area Wednesday night, with light snow accumulations possible. This air mass will continue into the weekend and bring single digit low temperatures Thursday and Friday nights. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotters are encouraged to report any amount of snow accumulation to the National Weather Service in Goodland via social media or telephone.
