This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT... Precipitation developing in Colorado will spread east toward northwest Kansas this afternoon. In Colorado, where precipitation will fall as snow and persist overnight, a dusting to an inch or two of snow accumulation is expected, mainly in far western portions of Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties. Accumulating snow becomes far less likely with eastern extent across the Colorado border into northwest Kansas where precipitation, if any, will predominately fall as light rain this afternoon. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY... North Northwest winds will strengthen during the day on Saturday, increasing to 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph during the late morning and persisting through the afternoon. Wind of this magnitude may create hazardous travel conditions, especially in areas with fresh snow cover, where blowing and drifting snow would be expected. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
