This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TONIGHT... No hazardous weather is expected at this time. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY... A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the entire Tri State region for Saturday afternoon into midday Sunday. Areas west and northwest will see 1 to 4 inches of snow, with some freezing rain or sleet at times. Areas east and southeast will see mostly freezing rain or sleet mixing with less than an inch of snow. Travel impacts will occur as a result. Any liquid on roadways could also freeze Saturday night into Sunday morning, adding to the hazardous travel. Wind chills are forecasted to lower into the single digits each morning Sunday through Tuesday. Wind chills could reach the negatives on Monday morning. For Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, elevated fire weather conditions are possible across far eastern Colorado. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
