YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Heat indices in the 100 to 104 degree range will continue through sunset for those generally east of Kansas Highway 25.  Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions continue this afternoon across the entire Tri-State region. Please use caution if burning outdoors.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  Heat indices of 100 to 102 degrees are forecast again Thursday and Friday afternoon, generally east of Kansas Highway 25.  A more active weather pattern returns Friday through Monday with the potential for excessive rainfall and severe weather.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
