YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Heat indices in the 100 to 102 degree range are expected through sunset for locations generally east of Kansas Highway 25.  Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions continue this afternoon across the entire Tri-State region. Please use caution if burning outdoors.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  Heat indices around 100 degrees are forecast again Thursday afternoon, generally east of Kansas Highway 25.  A more active pattern returns for the latter portion of the week with the potential for excessive rainfall and perhaps severe weather.
