This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT... A Heat Advisory remains in effect for today for Norton, Graham, Decatur, Sheridan, Gove and Red Willow counties as heat indices again climb into the mid 100s. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Yuma county Colorado this afternoon and evening. Counties to the south and east of the Red Flag Warning may see an hour or two of critical fire weather conditions as southerly winds gust up to 35 mph. Any burning or activities that involve sparks are highly discouraged today. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH MONDAY... Heat indices in the low 100s are forecast each afternoon Tuesday through Thursday, especially along and east of Highway 25. For Tuesday and Wednesday, elevated to near critical fire weather conditions continue across the entire outlook area due to low relative humidity, south to southwest winds gusting up to 35 mph and slowly drying fuels. Caution should be used if burning outdoors. A more active pattern returns for the latter portion of the week with the potential for excessive rainfall and perhaps severe weather.
