YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Heat indices ranging near 100-101 degrees are forecast this afternoon across northern portions of the area.  Some showers and storms may affect portions of northeastern Colorado late this afternoon through the evening. Gusty, erratic winds are possible.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...  A Heat Advisory is in effect on Saturday from noon through 8 PM CDT for Red Willow, Decatur, Norton, Sheridan, Graham and Gove counties. Heat index values of 106 to 108 degrees are expected; heat indices may not fall below 75 degrees Saturday night for some locations which may cause additional stress to livestock and pets. Additionally, near record to record high temperatures are forecast for many locations across the Tri-State area Saturday and Sunday. Dry lightning is possible over portions of eastern Colorado Saturday late afternoon-evening.  On Sunday, near critical to potentially critical fire weather conditions are expected across the area. The areas of greatest concern are generally west of Kansas Highway 27.  Monday through Wednesday, elevated to near critical fire weather conditions continue across the entire forecast area. Caution should be used if burning outdoors.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not anticipated.
