YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  No hazardous weather is expected at this time.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...  Near critical fire weather conditions are forecast along and west of the Colorado border Friday afternoon as winds gust 25-30 mph from the SW. A low chance of dry lightning exists across western portions of Yuma and Kit Carson counties Friday evening, which may lead to lightning induced fires.  Heat index values of 100 to 105 degrees are currently forecast Saturday afternoon for those along and east of Kansas Highway 25.  Elevated to Near Critical fire weather conditions continue across portions of the Tri-State area each afternoon Sunday through Tuesday.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight.
