YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Fog is possible across portions of Cheyenne county in Colorado around sunrise. The fog could be dense at times.  A cold front is forecasted to move through the area during the day, producing gusty winds from the north and potential for blowing dust. The blowing dust will likely remain confined to near open or recently harvested fields.  A few severe thunderstorms are possible for any location that the front has not moved through by the afternoon hours. Currently, the favored areas are east of Highway 83 and south of an Oakley to Tribune line. If severe storms occurred large hail to around a half dollar in size and wind gusts up to 65 mph. The overall severe threat for the area is low.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...  No hazardous weather is expected at this time.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not needed today. If a severe storm does occur, please send any severe reports to the NWS office. Also, any low visibility reports from blowing dust would be appreciated.
