YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A Heat Advisory is in effect for locations east of a line from McCook to Oakley this afternoon through early evening. Heat index values up to 105 degrees are expected.  Strong to severe thunderstorms may move into the Tri-State Area from the west this evening. Wind gusts up to 70 MPH and small hail will be the main threat with any storms that form. Severe wind gusts may occur from 7 PM to 10 PM MDT west of a McCook to Hoxie and Oakley line.  Blowing dust may occur with the severe wind gusts.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...  A Heat Advisory is in effect for Norton and Graham counties Friday afternoon.  Heat index values up to 106 degrees are expected.  Friday evening isolated to scattered thunderstorms may move into the Tri-State Area from the west. The main threat with these storms will be wind gusts up to 70 MPH.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation may be needed this evening.
