YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  There is a Marginal Risk for severe thunderstorms east of an Atwood to Oakley line through 4 AM CDT.  The primary hazard with any thunderstorm that develops will be wind gusts up to 70 mph and hail below one inch in diameter. A brief period of blowing dust with reduced visibilities will be possible if these gusts materialize.  Heat index values as warm as 105 are forecast for Norton and Graham counties this afternoon. A heat advisory is in effect for these counties as a result.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  Tuesday evening strong to severe wind gusts may occur with any storms that form.  An extended period of hot temperatures are expected across the area through mid week. Heat index values in the 100 to 105 degree range are forecast generally east of Kansas Highway 25 Tuesday through Thursday.   .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not anticipated at this time.
