YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TONIGHT...  A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 11 PM MDT (midnight CDT) for Wallace, Logan, Gove, Greeley and Wichita counties. The primary hazards include wind gusts up to 65 mph and hail up to the size of golf balls.  A Flood Watch remains in effect for most of the area until 2 AM MDT (3 AM CDT). Very heavy rainfall is expected with rainfall rates up to three inches per hour. This will cause flash flooding or flooding of poor drainage and low lying areas. It will also visibilities to drop to near zero at times. Motorists traveling across the area should be prepared for sudden drops in visibility due to high rainfall rates and an enhanced risk of hydroplaning on area roadways.  Dense fog will be possible across the area toward sunrise Friday morning.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...  The Tri-State area is forecast to have heat indices reaching into the lower triple digits in some locations on Sunday through Thursday. Please consider making preparations for multiple days of very hot conditions.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed. We would appreciate reports of severe weather and measured rainfall amounts.
