YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Thunderstorms are forecasted to develop across the area starting around 1 to 2 pm MT or 2 to 3 pm CT. Severe storms are possible with hail generally around one to one and a half inches in diameter and wind gusts up to 65 mph. The strongest storm may have the potential to produce 2 inch hail. Storms should exit the area around 10 to 11pm tonight.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  Severe thunderstorms are possible again tomorrow afternoon with a large hail threat initially. Going into the evening hours, the severe threat will transition to damaging wind gusts with heavy rain that could lead to flooding. Overall, heavy rainfall and flooding is the currently forecasted main threat.  The Tri-State Area sees heat indices reaching into the lower triple digits in some locations on Sunday through Wednesday. Please consider making preparations for multiple days of very hot conditions.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation may be needed today and tomorrow.
