Heat indices approaching or exceeding 100 degrees are anticipated across portions of the Tri-State Area on Monday afternoon. If outdoors, be sure to remain hydrated, seek shade and take breaks as needed. Slight chance for storms to clip northeastern portions of the area during the overnight hours tonight, generally between 10 PM to 4 AM CDT. If storms do occur, they have potential to be strong to severe with strong wind gusts up to 60 mph and large hail up to 1 inch in diameter. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH MONDAY... Portions of the Tri-State Area that are east of the Colorado border currently see a marginal risk for severe weather on Wednesday evening.
