This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT... Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible across portions of the region today and tonight. The area of focus will be locales along and west of a line from McCook, Nebraska to Oakley, Kansas. The best chance for severe weather is along and west of Kansas Highway 27 where a Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 9 PM MDT. Threats from any storms will include large hail, damaging wind gusts, and locally heavy rainfall that could lead to flash flooding. A few isolated tornadoes are even possible. Storms should be completely out of the area by sunrise Sunday morning. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH SATURDAY... There will be afternoon and evening chances for thunderstorms across portions of the Tri State region through next week. The best chance for these will occur in the latter portion of next week.
