This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT... Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to reach much of Yuma county by very late this afternoon, spreading east and expanding across much of the Tri-State area tonight, mainly along and north of Interstate 70. The primary hazard will be cloud to ground lightning, although an isolated severe storm is possible with large hail being the primary hazard. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH MONDAY... Tuesday morning...isolated thunderstorms capable of producing large hail may be possible east of a line from Yuma to Hoxie. Tuesday afternoon and evening...scattered thunderstorms will develop with a marginal risk for severe storms capable of producing large hail, damaging winds and perhaps an isolated tornado. Wednesday and Thursday...the risk for severe thunderstorms continues both days during the afternoon and evening hours. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary hazards.
