YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Patchy dense fog is ongoing for counties south of I-70. Visibility between one quarter of a mile and one mile is expected until an hour or two after sunrise.  Briefly critical fire weather conditions are possible in Kit Carson and Cheyenne [CO] counties this afternoon.  There is a slight risk of severe weather today for most of the Tri- State area. Large hail (between one to two inches), severe wind gusts (up to 70 mph) and a tornado or two is possible. The threat window is from 3pm MT until 1am MT though the main threat time period is between 3pm MT and 9pm MT.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...  A Fire Weather Watch remains in effect for Saturday for Kit Carson and Cheyenne [CO] counties.  Near critical to briefly critical conditions are possible for counties along and south of I-70 Saturday and Sunday.  For the period Sunday through Wednesday, there will be a chance for showers and thunderstorms along with low relative humidity. The primary hazards at this time will be cloud to ground lightning which may create grass fires.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation may be needed. Any severe weather reports or fog reports would be greatly appreciated! Please report any wildfire to local dispatch.
